CONCEPT
To be alive is to be at odds with the world.
Man against nature. Man against man.
The instinct to survive is what has made us who we are.

In the year 2031 mankind’s survival instinct is put to the test when a civil war in China spirals into global conflict. Nations are destroyed. Millions are killed. And for many, like US Air Force pilot Alec Killian, survival will mean shedding some of his humanity in exchange for biotech and machine.

Is this the ultimate corruption of nature?

Or, the birth pains of a new chapter in mankind’s evolution?

This is Titanium Rain.

THE SERIES

Titanium Rain is a six-issue series published by Archaia Studio Press. Brought to you by the creative team behind the acclaimed cyberpunk series, Utopiates, Titanium Rain is a sci-fi war epic for the post-millennial age. In the spirit of films such as Ghost in the Shell, Innocence, and Blackhawk Down, Titanium Rain follows one pilot’s journey through mankind’s worst, only to discover its best.

CREATIVE TEAM
Titanium Rain is a collaborative effort by husband and wife creative team, Josh Finney and Kat Rocha. After spending a number of years producing art within the music and gaming industries, the couple
broke into the comics scene in 2006 with the acclaimed Utopiates mini-series. Other works include concept art for Star Trek: Enterprise, regular contributions to Interzone magazine, and over 50 album covers for various techno/industrial bands.

CRITICAL ACCLAIM

Ain't It Cool News:
"I’m going to keep my eye on this series. The art is absolutely mouth-
watering and the premise is damn strong too. I’ll be checking in on
June’s Previews to find out more on TITANIUM RAIN #1 for sure!"

Lee Newman, Broken Frontier:
“Titanium Rain is a different kind of war book, making statements about the politics and nature of war and not reducing itself to mocking the whole thing. The sense of foreboding that is not clearly written but palatable is also a thing to note. I have a feeling that this is going to be one heck of a ride.”

Michael Colbert, The Comics Bulletin:
"This is writing of an extraordinarily high caliber... Not often does a book come along that combines such a level of intellect, tension, an amazing look and action."

Jamie D. (Comic Geek Speak, podcast):

"Just when I thought they couldn't top the visual story telling in Utopiates,
here comes Titanium Rain...Josh Finney and Kat Rocha are artists to be
watched, their visual style is how photo realistic comics should be done."

Brian Deemer (Comic Geek Speak, podcast):
“..the cream of the crop...I totally encourage everyone to check it out!”

Damian (Kryptographics, podcast):

"Titanium Rain fills the gap in the sci-fi genre of comics which is needed.
A stunning book set in a futuristic world that has been delved into civil
war. From air battles to biotech it's everything I have been looking for!"

Amy (Birds of Geek, podcast)
:
"A great first issue with beautiful art and characters
you just want to know more about."

Ryan Dunlavey (Action Philosophers, Wizard):
"Whoa! Great job Josh and Kat! Your work is always so polished
and so unlike ANYTHING else out there - I'm always amazed by
the pages you two turn out."

Zortron (A killer Chiuaua):
"TITANIUM RAIN HAS BEEN DEEMED "NEATO" IN THE EYES OF ZORTRON!
IGNORE THIS BOOK AT YOUR PERIL! OBTAIN TITANIUM RAIN NOT BECAUSE IT WILL
SAVE YOU FROM YOUR INEVITABLE DOOM AT THE PAWS OF THE MIGHTY ZORTRON!  OBTAIN THIS BOOK BECAUSE IT'S DAMN GOOD! GET "TITANIUM RAIN", I COMMAND YOU."
